During my experiments with texture, I don’t feel as if I have found any new ways of using my drawing tools to depict surface and texture. However I did have to think more carefully about portraying surface texture instead of looking at the objects as a whole
I found it a little difficult to show form without using so much hatching and shading. However I feel I’ve done OK, and with practice will be able to imply form better by carefully thinking about the light and dark tones when drawing texture. I really enjoyed using frottage. As a drawing technique, I think it has its limits; however it can be used depending on what is being drawn. I used frottage in my drawing of corn and think it worked quite well.
